Dr. Lindsay Scott, SLPD, CCC-SLP (Owner)

Lindsay has been practicing SLP for 10 years. She began her career as an ABA therapist treating children with autism and worked for over 10 years with children on the autism spectrum of varying ages and abilities. Prior to opening her private practice in 2013, Lindsay worked as a speech therapist in school and early intervention settings. Lindsay recognized the significant communication challenges of these children and was inspired to pursue a degree in speech-language pathology as a result.

Currently, Lindsay provides pediatric speech and language services to children of all ages with a variety of communication challenges. Conducts Individualized Educational Evaluations (IEEs). Provides consultative services to school districts.

Dynamic individualized intervention plans based on your child’s learning strengths and communication needs are the cornerstones of Lindsay’s therapeutic approach. Proficient diagnostic evaluation and therapy are combined with proven instructional strategies such as task analysis, motivation, child choice, and (natural) reinforcement to increase your child’s engagement in activities and maximize learning and generalization.

Allison Luehrs, M.S., CCC-SLP (Clinical Director)

Allison is an ASHA-Certified Speech Language Pathologist licensed to practice in NY and CT. In addition, she holds the RESNA Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) Credential evidencing her extensive training and experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Allison earned her Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Washington – Seattle in 2013 and has been practicing as an SLP for almost 10 years.

Allison has been with Lindsay Scott SLP & Co. for over 6 years and has prior experience in a variety of settings, including clinics and hospitals. Currently, she works with children of all ages with varying communication needs through dynamic, individualized intervention.

Avi Mishra, Ph.D., CCC-SLP (Consultant)

Dr. Mishra is a Tenure Track Professor with expertise in the evaluation and treatment of children with neurodevelopmental disorders. He received his graduate training at Northwestern University (M.S.) and Columbia University (Ph.D.) and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Augmentative/ Alternative Communication and Clinical Practice. Dr. Mishra is a licensed speech therapist and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He has worked with individuals from birth to age 18 in a variety of clinical settings. Dr. Mishra has published in professional journals, presented at national and international conferences, and received research funding. Dr. Mishra provides consultative services to Lindsay Scott SLP and Co. where he helps manage complex clinical cases and oversees translational research within the practice.

Holly Rubinstein, M.A. CCC-SLP (Clinical Supervisor & Consultant)

Holly Rubinstein is a Speech Language Pathologist holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), with licenses from both Connecticut and New York State. She earned her Master’s of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from CUNY Queens College and is a Bridging-Level (Level II) PROMPT trained therapist. Prior to joining the Team at Lindsay Scott SLP & Co. LLC, Holly enjoyed learning from two PROMPT Certified Instructors and providing Speech and Language Therapy at Jennifer Eigen, SLP-PC in Brooklyn Heights, NY for three years.

Holly is a recognized provider for Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) through ChildApraxiaTreatment.org, and completed Advanced Training on Diagnosis and Treatment of Childhood Apraxia of Speech and the DTTC (Dynamic Temporal Tactile Cueing) approach for treatment with Dr. Edythe Strand Ph.D., in December 2019. Holly is also trained in Orofacial Myology including Guided Oral Movements with Active Patterning (GOMAP) for Infant & Toddler Feeding, through IAOM (International Association of Orofacial Myology), 2020.

Holly currently provides Clinical Supervision & Mentorship to Speech Language Pathologist-Clinical Fellows (CF-SLPs) on a variety of skills including Evaluation and Treatment of Motor Speech Disorders. She also provides Full-Staff Trainings & Presentations on Evidence Based Motor Speech Assessment and Intervention Protocols, within the practice and for schools that Lindsay Scott SLP & Co. LLC. services. Holly also conducted & Co-Authored Research on “A Bootcamp Approach to the Remediation of /r/: A Case Series,” with Dr. Avinash Mishra Ph.D. CCC-SLP, Dr. Lindsay Scott, CCC-SLP-D, and Sandra Lummis MS CCC-SLP, which was presented in the ASHA Conference Virtual Library 2021: Motor Speech Disorders Across the Lifespan, Nov., 2021. Holly also Consults within the practice on evaluation and treatment for a broad range of developmental, atypical or neurogenic motor speech disorders.

Megan Kalnins, M.S., CCC-SLP

Megan is an ASHA-Certified Speech Language Pathologist licensed to practice in CT. She earned her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Missouri State University in 2017 and has previously practiced in both Missouri and Texas.

She began her career working with preschool and elementary-aged children in a school-based setting and with adults in the rehabilitation hospital setting. She then transitioned to private practice, where she gained experience in the areas of language and functional communication, speech production, feeding, and orofacial-myofunctional disorders.

She believes in working closely with patients and their families by developing strong relationships to support progress and success inside and outside of the therapy setting.

Sandy is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a certificate from Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Sacred Heart University. Sandy has experience working with children ages 2-21 in schools, private practices, and early intervention settings. She practices play-based, child-centered therapy tailored to each child and their particular strengths and needs to improve their functional communication skills and maximize their success.

Lauren Russell, M.S., CCC-SLP

Lauren earned her B.S in Business Administration from Boston University and an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Sacred Heart University. In addition to working at Lindsay Scott SLP & CO, Lauren works full-time in a local public school providing speech and language services for middle school-aged students. Lauren has experience working with clients ages 3-20 in the school, private practice, and aquatic settings. She is passionate about helping children and adolescents feel confident communicating. Her colleagues describe her as empathetic, perceptive, creative, and proactive.

Kristen Fusco, M.S., CCC-SLP

Kristen is a Speech Language Pathologist certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), who has been practicing for almost 20 years with licenses in both New York and Connecticut. She holds a B.A. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from The George Washington University and completed her graduate training at St. John’s University. She has experience working in a variety of clinical settings providing pediatric speech and language services to children birth-15 years of age. Her scope of practice is largely with children diagnosed with motor speech disorders and/or autism spectrum disorders. She believes in a child-led, play-based and family centered approach and draws inspiration in helping children and their families find each child’s unique strengths to improve their functional communication. In addition, Kristen is a proud mother of three children and two Golden Retrievers.

Elizabeth Tyler, M.S., CCC-SLP

Liz is a Speech Language Pathologist certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Colby College, where she first became interested in early childhood education. However, while working as a preschool paraprofessional, Liz discovered her passion for helping children with communication needs. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Sacred Heart University in 2022. Liz has experience working with children ages 2-21 in schools, private practices, and a university clinic. She practices play-based, child-centered therapy, personalized to best serve each unique client and family.

Ariana is a Speech-Language Pathologist certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education from Providence College in 2015. She obtained her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology at Sacred Heart University in 2018. Ariana has experience working with children ages 12 months-21 years within early intervention, teletherapy, and private practice settings. She practices play-based, child-centered therapy tailored to each child’s individual needs.

Ashley Montalto, M.S., CF-SLP

Ashley is a licensed Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston in 2018. Ashley taught preschool before starting with Lindsay Scott SLP & Co in 2019 as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. Ashley earned her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology at New York University in December 2022. Ashley has experience working with adults and children school settings, inpatient facilities, outpatient facilities, and private practices. She practices play-based, child-centered therapy, individualized to each client and family’s personal needs.

Julia Dominziano, M.S., CF-SLP

Julia is a Speech-Language Pathologist certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Clemson University in 2019. Julia earned a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology at Southern Connecticut State University in May 2022. Julia has experience working in early intervention,  preschool settings, and with children ages ranging from 2-18 years in an outpatient hospital setting. She emphasizes building confidence in communication through play-based, child-centered therapy, individualized to each client and their family’s needs.

Olivia Ceballos: ABA

Olivia, a ABA therapist, received her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology at Sacred Heart University 2018-2021 and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Saint Joseph’s 2021-2024. She has participated in trainings such as: Registered Behavior Technician, Pivotal Response, Cognitive Behavior Intervention and Functional Communication.

Marea Armenti-Dumbauld: Billing & Insurance Director

Marea focuses on the operational activities at Lindsay Scott which includes our infrastructure and records management. Her main focus is billing and insurance with a specialization in helping our families navigate the complex insurance authorization and reimbursement environment. Marea also assists the company with outside organizational relationships which include school districts and other service providers.

Katherine Benatar: Practice Manager

Katherine holds a bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology from Iona College. After graduating, she went on to obtain her Montessori certification (AMS). Katherine spent 15 years as a Montessori teacher working with children ages 18 months-6 years old in both Stepping Stones and Primary classrooms.
